Dreams. Never will be...

As of late, I've been having some random dreams... but for me, they're really not that random.  The usual happens: I fall in love, and then I wake up. Cute, right?  Just like in real life. Not exactly.  Anywho... Do you believe that dreams mean something, that they can predict the future?  Or do you think it's just our imaginations being creative in the wee hours of the night?  Is it just a combination of things that have happened to us during the day... which follow us to dreamland?  Who knows.  I'm sure there are some scientific studies and such, but who has time for that... kidding.

On a different note, I am pleased to say that I am making a difference in my life again. Whew.  I have gotten some scholarships to pay for school, thank the lord.  And, I applied to be a tutor to elementary students.  I'm perfect for that!  If you know me, you'll know that I adore helping others, and children are cool cats.  I worked as a tutor in high school as well.  Also, this whole PR thing should be working out for me in the near future, but more details on that later.

I'm craving some adventure, some random road trip... maybe a mini vacation.  Mexico wasn't enough! hahha I'm thinking Chicago maybe, I've never been.  And of course, NYC is always an option.  I was there this time last summer, let's do it again! :)  Who knows. I'm just happy to be living, and being able to enjoy these beautiful summer days, and nights.

Lazy, Crazy, Hazy Days of Summer...

So, today I have failed to get my lazy bum off of the couch, and it's been glorious.  Perfect, right?  I think so.  As any summer goes, for myself, there's a lot of laying around the house while enjoying the air conditioner; a lot of movie watching and various reruns, followed up by maybe a few naps.  Facebook stalking is a must, as well as jamming to random music... as always.  The night usually is filled with either much of the same, or maybe a random adventure with the friends or fam.  This summer varies slightly from the last.  Last summer, I had a partner in crime.  And when I say this expression, I don't really mean crime... obviously.  Rather, someone who I could partake in random summer acts with.  We used to roam the streets of our small town, while cruising the "strip".  We used to attend art galleries, and have an endless number of photo shoots, we'd shop for hours, and eat sno cones in the sunlight.  We'd go see random movies, and drive around looking at the stars.  Combine all of this and it may sound like the perfect love interest, but one small detail went missing in my description... he was gay.  Pay no attention to that, those adventures were awesome, and we miss those simple days.  Now, he has a boyfriend and works a lot, not to mention his summer class.  Sounds like his life is together, and what's up with mine?  Who knows.  I watch way too many romantic teen movies to judge my life.  Since our small fallen out, I have yet to find that friend that I can spend so much time with.  We spent every summer day together, and now we never seen one another.  A few texts here and there, and some Facebook posts, but that's not the same.  Anyway, I am still on the search for that person, that thing, or maybe... dare I say it, that job (ugh), to fill my time.  Why am I being this petty little girl with all this hope for bigger and better things?  You tell me.  All I know is that I am looking forward to whatever comes my way... Already, I have been offered an internship for the summer, to get my foot in the door with the PR circuit.  I am excited, and ready to take on the challenge.  This will hopefully keep me busy enough to stay off the couch. :) hahha.
Why did I just expose to you such a thing?  Because that's what blogging is about... your thoughts, pictures, memories, experiences, etc.  Never have I been able to open up fully to people, but that's just me.  I don't have any dark secret... I just chose to keep to myself.  Others like to open up to me, they feel comfortable around me.  I love that.  It's such a great feeling to know that people feel safe enough around me, to express their stories and not worry about passing judgement.  Thank you secret sharers.  :)

Now, I think I shall be done exposing you to the random thoughts in my head.  Off to watch some more Pretty Little Liars. ;)  Thanks for reading, and keep in contact.

New blog/Song of the day...

Here's the link to my Blog about some of the random-ness I experienced while in Mexico : http://nkumexicoadventures.blogspot.com/

Also, here's your song of the day:

Pretty chill... her voice is killer!

Now that I have completed my last assignment, I can finally live up my summer!  I had been trying to set aside time to work on my blog for school, but now I can breathe easy.  I am finished, and will be able to relax knowing that I am done.  What up Sophomore year of college?! Speaking of college... orientation started yesterday for incoming Freshman.  I'm still pretty bummed that I didn't get a position as an Orientation Leader, but there's always next year! I hope that this summer is amazing... I've already done so much in such a short amount of time, hopefully my lucky continues.  I'm looking forward to the free Indie concert series every Friday on Fountain Square, Dollar Burger Nights every Wednesday, as well as random road trips.  My mom has this crazy idea that I need to learn responsibility, and get a job.  I know what responsibility is... but I guess it is time for me to get a job, and maybe, I don't know, LEARN TO DRIVE! hahha I'm sure people are tired of chauffeuring me around town.  But all will happen in due time, my dear.  For now, I shall sit and relax.  Summer is about relaxing, having fun, hanging out with friends and family, and soaking up the rays... because I burn too easily, we'll stick with the other options :)  Hello Summer 2011, I know we've known each other for about a month now, but now I have finished my last assignment, let's get reacquainted! ;)

Hope all is well.  Have a lovely Tuesday.

Chill days with Lemonade.

So, yesterday was a great day: filled with cork screws, loops, sweat, and a chlorine canyon... King's Island!  The Beast beat me up, and now I have some nice bruises from the shaking and jerking.  Whatever.  We had a good time.  Today I shall relax and finish up my other blog about Mexico. :)  Not much to rant about today, but I shall share a song of the day.  A friend of mine introduced me to this guy's sound...

Enjoy your Monday.
